Don't Forget the Nurnies

Postby Nessa » Sat Mar 13, 2010 5:52 am

WTF is a 'Nurnie'? I dunno about you guys but when J5 is asked to build his first mini-me, he holds up the torso piece and says "Don't forget the nurnies!" I *thought* that was what he was saying but I had no idea what a 'nurny' (nurny or nurnie for the singular?) was!

I finally have the answer.

It's a Greeble! Oh dear god stop with the technobabble already! Basically, it's all the fiddly bits and crap that designers put on models and stuff to give it complexity and detail. At least now I can sleep at night, knowing this.

THANK YOU THANK YOU I've been wondering what the heck he was saying since I first saw SC2! (Uh...three years ago.)

And yes, after having gone on a J5 drawing spree the past couple months, I can tell you that he is indeed covered in nurnies. (All my non-fan friends think I'm insane for doing all that detail...)
Enclosed is something called a chili dog!

Wow thanks a million for that Nessa! I too been wondering what he was saying.... even in French I never understood! It just seemed like an important part!

I love it when I learn something new about Short Circuit or Short Circuit 2!
